      Personal Pronouns Definition

Kata ganti untuk orang, binatang, tempat, atau sesuatu benda . Dalam kalimat, personal pronouns dapat digunakan sebagai subjek (the subject of a verb) maupun objek (the object of a verb)

Subject Pronouns 

"Nella likes dogs . She has two dogs"

Pada kalimat pertama, Nella adalah subjek kalimat atau subjek kata kerja likes . Sedangkan pada      kalimat kedua, she adalah subjek kalimat dan sebagai kata ganti untuk Nella .

Contoh personal pronouns sebagai subjek : 
  - My name is Andrea . I am seventeen . 
  - Andre, you are a bad boy!
 - My father works hard . He works in a factory
 - Mysister is older than me . She is twenty nine 
  - Our dog is very naughty . It likes to chase cats 
 - Rifan and Rizal are playing football . We like sports 
  - Fauziah and Wiwin are my sister . They are older than I am

            Object Pronouns

 

            "Nella likes dogs . She likes to stroke them"

            Pada kalimat pertama, dogs adalah objek kalimat atau objek kata kerja likes . Sedangkan pada 

            kalimat kedua, them adalah objek kalimat dan sebagai kata ganti untuk dogs .

- Goodbye, my bestfriend! I’ll call you later 
- Where is Rizaldi? I need to speak to him 
- Miss Keylin is very nice . All the children like her

Contoh possessive pronouns sebagai subjek : 
 - My sister’s dress is pink . Mine is blue

       (Gaun saudara perempuanku berwarna merah muda . Milikku berwarna biru) 
     -  I like my lollipop candy . Do you like yours?

       (Aku menyukai permen lollipopku . Apakah kamu menyukai permen lollipop milikmu?) 
     -  I want to have a big house just like hers

       (Aku ingin mempunyai sebuah rumah yang besar seperti miliknya) 
     -  My bag is expensive . His is more expensive

       (Tas milikku mahal . Miliknya lebih mahal) 
     - That cat, its eyes are nice

       (Kucing itu, mata miliknya indah)
      - That is their bus . Ours is late

       (Itu bus mereka . Bus kita terlambat) 
         - This is my book . Yours are in the library

       (Ini bukuku . Milik kalian di perpustakaan) 
    -  Our class is bad . Theirs is the good one 
       (Kelas kita jelek . Kelas milik mereka bagus)

·         Reflexsive Pronouns Definition

Kata ganti yang menunjuk kegiatan untuk pelaku sendiri dalam kalimat bersangkutan, atau member penekanan pada unsure subjek atau objek . Kata ganti ini mendapat akhiran –self untuk bentuk tunggal, dan akhiran –selves untuk bentuk jarak .
